Susan Shaffer is a acclaimed mixed media artist known for her innovative techniques and vibrant creations. Encaustic monotypes are her focus, sometimes integrating clay, glass and other materials. Her pushes creative boundaries, evoking the viewer's conscious and subliminal connection to natural rhythms through immersive experience.


After a season of post-hurricane recovery in Florida, it's back to the Maine studio for some artistic rejuvenation. With the Boca Grande Art Center re-opening in the fall, all systems will be a go to reunite with friends and patrons, old and new. The 18th Annual "Art on Banyan Exhibit", scheduled for the last weekend in February 2026, will be filled with all sorts of new, inspirational explorations.
